I hope you continue with this website. I get multiple calls a day from “new a co” and would love to see all companies using him go under.

Thanks for the comment Emily. If you have any further information you can share, please feel free to email me at helpstoptom@gmail.com.

LOVE IT! I have been getting calls for most of 2011 as well. I let it go to voice mail, and only ever get the exact same message: “…Tom from Home Protection, how are you today?” and nothing else. Ever consider a class-action lawsuit? I would LOVE to join in… and maybe that will help stop Tom, and all of “his” clients.

  4. I would be willing to join a class action lawsuit as well. This has been a problem for way to long.

Get them all the time, mostly from 503-468-5227.

I’m so happy to see that you are making efforts to stop this infuriating invasion of privacy. ‘Tom’ calls me incessantly, 3-4 times a day… stops for a couple days, then starts again. Calls are from multiple numbers – 503.468.5227, 312.273.9104, 312.765.7460… others. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help your efforts!

I have been so incredibly frustrated with calls from ‘Tom with home protection’ that I searched on-line and found this site. I have had calls daily for about a month and am upset that I may have to endure more calls. I was so mad the last time, I left the phone about 20 minutes without hanging up. The last calls have been from 503-902-8294.

  8. Timmy says:

Thanks for starting this web site. Everytime I get one of these calls which is now daily, I am posting your info on any web site that deals with bogus calls. Hopefully more people will get the word out and eventually we can sue this A.Hole company out of business and put some people behind bars.

  9. Brian says:

I’ve now officially been getting these calls for over a year as well (long break that just ended this month). Anything I can do to help from VA?

  10. Marc says:

I too have been living the Tom nightmare for well over a year. 503 457 1274 is the one that has called me the most. I’m in Ohio and would be more than happy to compile anything necessary to put this operation out of business for good.

Actually, that would be a request of you: Itemize the steps that we, the harassed population, can take to help you (us) bring these SOB’s down.

File a complaint at fcc.gov! Also, go ahead and make the appointment for them to come out to your house on a day you’re not there. I plan to schedule an appointment every time they call me in the future.

I’m a CA resident. I’m a software engineer with experience in VoIP/telecom. I have buddies from my USMC days that are currently in law enforcement.

If there is anything I can do to help out, on my own or through connections, let me know.

PS – This is probably the best use of a WordPress blog that I’ve seen yet. Keep it up.

And here I thought I would have to start waging war on my own!
I’m glad there is someone as pissed off as I am who actually knows how to go about this!
You have my support here in Boston!

  14. Jessica says:

Would love to help, email me with whatever foot work you need. I am a school teacher and with summer coming I can spend a significant amount of time working towards meeting the goals you have outlined.

  15. I really appreciate the information on this site, but the only way it can be really helpful is if it’s covered with links to the FCCs spam call reporting online form. Reporting these calls to you won’t do any good if the FCC doesn’t get inundated with the reports as well.

    • StopTom says:

Thanks for the feedback Amy and of course readers should continue to report calls to the FTC. My efforts include doing the leg work of identifying those actually behind the calls, and providing that information to regulators including the FTC. Specifically, the larger states have security alarm regulations that may be useful in helping sanction the offending parties. Those willing to skip over the telemarketing rules are also prone to skip over state rules that guide alarm operator conduct. I will be filing unlicensed activity complaints against three organizations and as many as a dozen individuals across multiple states in the next few days. Best to you!

Calls began again recently. I received 4 today. Am I to answer the calls or just let it ring? Tom @ 503-902-8379 never stops calling!
